Nothing makes Dr. Engel happier than seeing something click for a patient after he explains what is going on with their oral health. Empowering people is one of his favorite parts of being a dentist, as it gives them skills and knowledge they need to keep themselves healthy between appointments. Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?
Dr. Engel decided to become a dentist because it allowed him to continue his passion for teaching while working with his hands to positively impact people’s lives.
Education
Where Did You Study Dentistry?
Dr. Engel began his college career at Michigan State University before going on to graduate from the NYU College of Dentistry. Always wanting to provide his patients with the most up-to-date care, he is an active member of the American Dental Association and Academy of General Dentistry.

Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?
Like all true Michiganders, Dr. Engel has a love/hate relationship with Detroit Sports, namely the Lions and Red Wings. When he isn’t cheering them on, he likes to spend quality time with his fiancé and their mean but absolutely adorable cat, Leucine. So far, he’s luckily never had a cavity (knock on wood!).
