Dr. Hanson brings an impressive 33 years of experience to our team, and she’s eager to use her expertise to serve the Chelsea community. For her, each new patient is a friend she’s eager to get to know, and she uses her relationships to provide gentle and fully personalized care. She looks forward to welcoming you and your loved ones into our dental office, and you can start getting to know her by reading on below.
Dr. Hanson knew she wanted to work in the medical field, and being a naturally artistic and crafty person, dentistry seemed like an obvious choice. It would allow her to work with her hands and improve people’s lives on a daily basis, and decades later, she couldn’t be happier with her decision.
Dr. Hanson attended Wayne State University before obtaining her dental degree from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. This was followed by a General Practice Residency at the VA Hospital in Boston, and she went on to teach at the University of Michigan for the next 10 years. She has taken several continuing education courses so she’s able to offer her patients the most up-to-date care possible, and she looks forward to learning even more in the future.
As mentioned above, Dr. Hanson loves to craft, so her weekends often involve fiber arts and working with wool (rug hooking, applique, quilting). She also bred and raised Pembroke Welsh Corgis for over 30 years and even showed them in competitions. Today, she’s happy to come home and spoil her one beloved corgi and cat.
